Cracking start to the new academic year!
Dear Parents/ Carers
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all our staff, pupils and their families back from your summer holidays, we hope it was restful and enjoyed by all.
A great start to the year with our pupils returning with great enthusiasm. Over the last couple of weeks, we have been focussing on “blank canvasses and new beginnings”, as this year is an opportunity to flourish, learn and enjoy. Our focus as always is reaching positive outcomes for our pupils, supporting and inspiring them to be the BEST they can be in all that they do!
We are excited to announce that we will be arranging trips again to our local community which I know that our pupils really enjoy. We are also planning to return to the dining room for lunch and swimming is back on the cards!
We have also added ‘essentials’ to our timetable. Our curriculum essentials are Maths, Literacy and social skills. Every day there is dedicated time where pupils work in their own classes but in smaller groups focussing on developing their learning in these three areas. It’s very early days, but we are positive that this will have a great impact on their learning and development.
I wish to thank our families, new and old, for their fantastic support and on behalf of our amazing team and myself: LET THE NEW YEAR BEGIN!
